How to run your walk-in line

Your line lives on Today’s Console. Providers can run their own part of it from My Day.

What the status line means

  • Accepting check-ins: walk-ins are open.
  • Walk-ins not started: nobody has tapped I’m here yet.
  • Check-ins paused: new check-ins are stopped; people waiting can still be served.
  • Outside check-in hours: you’re outside your walk-in hours.
  • Walk-ins closed for today: someone tapped Close for today.

Serve the next person

  1. Tap Call Next. The customer’s ticket changes to say it’s their turn.
  2. When they sit down, tap Start visit next to their name, under Called & Ready for Service.
  3. When you’re done, tap Finish.

On My Day the same steps read Call next, Start next called and Finish visit, and they use the room or station you picked on My Day.

Someone who walks in without a phone? Tap Add Walk-In and enter them yourself.

Pause new check-ins

Tap Pause. New check-ins stop. People already waiting can still be called and served, and nothing is lost. Tap Resume to open again.

Someone isn’t here

Tap Skip next to their name. They move to Skipped and the next person moves up. If they turn up after all, the queue board view has Restore to bring them back.

Wait times and colors

Current wait shows the estimated wait right now. Your storefront’s frame turns green, amber or red from it. To change where short and long waits start, open the More menu and choose Wait colors.
