Any TV or screen with a web browser can show your line, so people in the waiting room know where they stand.
Connect the TV
- On the TV, open its web browser and go to the address you use to sign in to Walk-Ins Welcome, with /tv on the end.
- The TV shows Connect this TV to your business, with a six-character code and a QR code. The code changes every 10 minutes.
- On your phone, scan the QR code with the camera. Or open the same address with /display/link on the end and type the code.
- Sign in as the owner or a manager, choose which screen this is, and tap Connect TV.
- Your phone says TV connected. Make the browser fill the screen and leave the TV on.
Need a fresh code on the TV? Add ?new=1 to the TV’s address: /tv?new=1.
What the TV shows
Each person in line gets a row with their ticket number, where they are (On the way, Not here or Waiting) and their room once called. It never shows the service they chose.
Names or ticket numbers
By default the TV shows ticket numbers only. To change it, open Screens & Displays and choose:
- Ticket # Only (HIPAA): the default, and the right choice for clinics.
- Initials Only
- First + Last Initial
- Full Name
Names only ever show on a TV you’ve connected this way. Your storefront, your website and any open TV link always show ticket numbers.
